What is an AEE?

An outstanding teacher, middle or senior leader with a strong interest in contributing to teacher development through coaching, writing e.g. case studies, blogs, articles, recording webinars or podcasts or delivering face-to-face training.  Alban Education Experts can contribute to our professional development offer by taking approaches that suit their personal interests and workload. This work broadens professional networks and outward facing opportunities for individuals.

Experience and skills for the AEE role

• at least two years’ experience and outstanding knowledge in at least one subject specialism or designated area of focus e.g. a specific curriculum subject, key stage, or area of focus e.g. assessment, behaviour.
• an advocate for excellence in your specialist subject area, key stage or area of specialism and a desire to communicate this passion.
• evidence of working effectively as part of a team or across schools
• the ability to work with others to instil positive change.
• the desire to keep abreast of educational and system change.
